Schedule of Fees

Fees are payable by way of:

  • a registration fee;
  • an administration fee;
  • a fee for extra, reasonable or actual expenses incurred in administration; and
  • arbitrators’ fees.

Registration Fee

The registration fee of USD345 or ZAR5500 is payable by the Claimant together with its request for arbitration. The registration fee is non-refundable. Please contact the Secretariat of AFSA International for banking details.
 

The amount of Claim referred to in this Schedule shall be based on the sum of money claimed by the Claimant. If the amount claimed is different from the actual amount in dispute, or in the event of a reconventional claim, the actual amount in dispute shall be the basis for calculation.

Where the amount of claim is not ascertained at the time when application for arbitration is handed in, or there exists special circumstances, the amount of administration fee deposit shall be determined by the Secretariat. 

Apart from charging administration fee according to this Schedule, the Secretariat may collect other extra, reasonable and actual expenses incurred in the course of its administration.

Arbitrators’ fees are paid by AFSA International to the appointed arbitrators and the parties are obliged in advance to cover AFSA for such expenses.
